The Complete RCA Album Collection – Tedd Joselson

Sony Classical is pleased to release Todd Joselson’s complete RCA recordings for the first time in a single x6 CD edition. This stunning box set features exquisite performances of works by revered composers Chopin, Liszt, Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky, Prokofiev and Ravel. This must-have box set includes x5 LPs that appear for the first time on CD, remastered from the original analog masters using 24 bit / 192 kHz technology. Included in this box set are Joselson’s critically acclaimed recordings of great Romantic sonatas by Liszt and Chopin, as well as Tchaikovsky’s brilliant first Piano Concerto. Also included in this breathtaking collection is Joselson’s 1974 recording of Prokoviev’s hair-raising Second Piano Concerto with Eugene Ormandy and the Philadelphia Orchestra along with his performance of the more popular Third Concerto, from 1978, with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Eduardo Mata. Joselson’s remarkable rendition of Prokoviev’s Piano Sonatas Nos. 2, 6, 7, 8 and 9, and the Visions fugitives appear on this box set.
