Amour (Vinyl) – Esther Abrami

“Amour” marks a significant artistic milestone for violinist and social media sensation Esther Abrami. For the first time, she places a large-scale original composition at the center of an album. Her nine-movement suite for violin and orchestra is an expressive exploration of love in all its facets, capturing the full spectrum of emotions—from tenderness and passion to longing and loss.

Beyond the suite, “Amour” gathers a diverse selection of iconic classical works centered around the theme of love, newly arranged by Esther Abrami for solo violin and orchestra. A special highlight is Nino Rota’s “Romeo and Juliet: Love Theme,” featuring acclaimed mezzo-soprano Marina Viotti, whose voice enters into a musical dialogue with Abrami’s violin. The program further includes instrumental arrangements of Céline Dion’s “All by Myself” and Georges Bizet’s “Habanera” from “Carmen,” as well as new versions for violin and orchestra of Francis Poulenc’s “Les chemins de l’amour,” Christoph Willibald Gluck’s “Dance of the Blessed Spirits” from “Orfeo ed Euridice,” and the virtuous “Chaconne in G minor” by Tomaso Antonio Vitali. A newly arranged version of Charlie Chaplin’s “Désillusion amoureuse” from his film “The Circus” is also included on the album.

Throughout her career, Esther Abrami has built a reputation for bringing classical music to a broad and diverse audience. With “Amour,” she combines her distinctive voice as an interpreter with her work as a composer for the very first time.

The album is released on CD as well as a double LP in a limited Ecorecord InkPlosion edition, where each individual vinyl record features a unique design.
