Cage / Martiello / Ugoletti: Kinds Evolution – Ichos Percussion

Percussion and a large part of their development are closely linked to the world of contemporary music and therefore of the twentieth century in general, already with the revolutionary Bartok sonata these have imposed themselves on the public no longer as a marginal and only rhythmic element but as co-stars on a par with other instruments. The Icos Ensemble explores three authors who have built much or a large part of their aesthetics on these instruments starting from John Cage, whose catalog includes dozens of compositions for the most disparate percussion ensembles, arriving at Martiello and Ugoletti.
