Camelia Blanca: A Day With The Flower Of South American Music – Aneis Guitar Duo

Like a flower that blooms and allows the viewer only a fleeting and temporary glimpse of its beauty before withering and dying, so the guitar duo Aneis takes us on a wonderful journey into the beating and vital heart of South American music, with rhythms, colors and images of an elusive world, which remains difficult to fully understand but in which one would never stop looking – in this case listening. Re-proposing some works by Gismonti and Piazzolla alongside lesser known works and in some cases even of dubious attribution, such as Cuban Dance, the members of the duo Aneis, here on their first album, decide to consolidate their experience gained in years of apprenticeship and concerts in a common path to the discovery of that “cry of the guitar” of which FG Lorca sang.
