Chopin: Lettres Sur La Danse – Eliana Grasso

Like the other great composers in the history of music, Chopin was never forgotten. Each one of his works is studied, performed and employed in the most diverse contexts; among these, dance certainly occupies a special place. Along with the intrinsic musical beauty of all of his works, dancers all around the world have constantly felt the call of his music, which is able to describe a wide range of human emotions, while, at the same time, giving to the body the possibility of creating flexible figures, expressing in turn these various feelings and their diverse changes. Eliana Grasso starts from this frequently unexplored interpretation of Chopin’s opus, choosing an ample selection of works which enjoyed success, danced on the worldwide stages, thanks to dancers and choreographers who have made the history of dance.
