Flowers Of Tought – Marta Vulpi

The Italian chamber repertoire, after a brilliant success, slowly experienced a slow decline which only Tosti’s music seems to have opposed. In this record Marta Vulpi explores something completely new and, in the first recording, some arias of real Italian romantic stars such as Giovanni Sgambati and Ferruccio Busoni, famous elsewhere for their exceptional pianistic virtuosity and who try their hand here with the voice is its thousand shades. To complete the project, some rare arias by Arditi, who together with Tosti, knew how to make the living room and his music his own empire for decades.
