John Luther Adams: Horizon – Australian Chamber Orchestra

The Pulitzer Prize-winning American composer John Luther Adams wrote this piece for the Australian Chamber Orchestra. Inspired by his recent move to Australia and his travels across the continent – from the Northern Territory and the Red Centre to Tasmania – “Horizon” is an immersive sonic experience that explores the relationship between the visible horizon, with its trees, mountains, and man-made structures, and the true horizon: the encompassing circle where the sky meets the earth.
