Liszt: Erard 1852: Piano Works On Authentic Instruments – Maria Luisa Macellaro La Franca

Multifaceted artist, pianist, composer and conductor, Maria Luisa Macellaro La Franca (Palermo 1980) is considered one of the most appreciated Italian artists of the new generation, extravagant artist, her repertoire ranges from ancient music to period instruments, to modern music. She began studying piano, composition and orchestral conducting at the V. Bellini Conservatory in Palermo where she graduated with honors in 2000. She specializes with her K.Scherbakov in the prestigious Zurich Musik Hochschule in Zurich where she also graduates in Jazz, chamber music and early music with full marks. Winner of countless first prizes in national and international piano competitions (Osimo coppa pianisti d’Italia 1996, IBLA Grand Prize 2000, Elsy Mayer Stiftung 2003) she began a career at a very young age that led her to perform in various countries and world-famous theaters such as : Palermo Politeama Theater (Italy), Zenith Albi, Casino of Bordeaux, Theater du Châteaux de Jonzac, Musée de Châteauroux (France), Theater of the MAM museum and Italian Cultural Institute (Brazil), Synagogue of Berlin and Halle of the Superior Conservatory of Düssrldorf (Germany), theater aan het Vrijthof Maastricht (Holland), Auditorium de los Andes Mendoza, Halle del Banco Hipotecario Lujan (Argentina), Grosser Saal Zurich, Ligerz Theater, Boccadoro Theater Lugano (Switzerland), Collado Villalba Culture Center, Major Church Madrid (Spain) etc.
