Third volume for Giovanni De Cecco’s ambitious project of the integral of Mozart’s keyboard sonatas on the clavichord. This issue deals with three of the major works of the Salzburger Land, the K. 280 and K. 309, the splendid Allegro in G minor K. 312 and the last of the compositions written for a keyboard instrument by Mozart, that K. 576 which still represents the author’s spiritual testament for this genre. De Cecco approaches each of these compositions with a completely new spirit, illuminating each page with a freshness of reading and an interpretative balance that, engraving after engraving, gradually acquires greater breadth, and takes care not to offer the listener only an “alternative” reading. of these works, but also and above all a reading that clearly and indelibly shows its own artistic imprint, with an absolute respect for the original sign, even here the edition used and the patronage are Baerenreiter, which reflects a vision that is now completely mature as well as a profound reflection on the internal structures and microcosms that constitute these masterpieces of musical literature.
