Pavol Breslik cites Wunderlich as a role model, and takes on much of that legend’s repertoire in his new Mozart recital album, deftly conducted by Patrick Lange. Breslik has an international career that includes regular appearances in Munich and Zurich, where he is an audience favourite with his well-produced tenor and good looks. Mozart is Breslik’s calling card. His voice is flexible, shown to great effect in Idomeneo’s ‘Fuor del mar’, and has a steady line with well-integrated registers.
