My Way (Vinyl) – Louis Philippson

Just seven months after his debut “Exposition”, “My Way” sheds light on the rapid development of the young pianist, social media star and presenter Louis Philippson from “classical music star of Gen Z” (Süddeutsche Zeitung) to one of the pianists of the moment. British broadcaster Classic FM included Louis as the only German artist in the “Top 30 artists under 30 in 2025”, while BR-Klassik declared: “With Louis Philippson, classical music has found a new rock star.” He also inspired thousands of people for classical music in his own way at the 12 completely sold-out concerts of his debut tour in May 2025 and at the arena shows of the “Night of the Proms” in winter 2024.

Louis Philippson builds on this with his album “My Way”. Recorded with the MDR Symphony Orchestra under the direction of conductor Ben Palmer, it combines new original compositions with new arrangements of well-known themes from classical music or film music for solo piano as well as piano and orchestra. The new works include the viral hit “Beethoven Virus” for piano and orchestra, “Show Waltz” for piano and orchestra, “Supernova” for piano, soprano and orchestra, as well as several solo pieces for piano. Among the newly interpreted classics are the rousing medley “Dancing Bee” for piano and orchestra, “Cornfield Chase” for piano and small ensemble, as well as an arrangement of themes from the Four Seasons entitled “Vivaldi Storm”.
