Schumann: Concert Sans Orchestre Op.14 (Manuscript Version 1836), Carnaval – Luca Ballerini

Masterpieces of the piano repertoire, Schumann’s works still today know how to give the public almost unique emotions, among these certainly the well-known “Carnaval Op. 9”. Luca Ballerini, however, does not limit himself to wanting to explore an already well-known repertoire in a personal way, in fact he offers an extremely rare version of the “Concert sans orchestre” and here in the first world recording. In fact, he recovers the initial version written by Schumann, with one more movement and some differences, compared to the one that later came to the press. A further opportunity to discover another important moment in the musical production of one of the greatest authors of the nineteenth century.
