Stravinsky / Milhaud / Khachaturian / Menotti: Musique Au Bord De La Rivière – Trio Manfredi

The Manfredi trio is an extremely young formation, made up of three musicians, respectively piano, violin and clarinet, who get involved with this first volume by facing four masterpieces written and designed for their type of training. A formation that, it must be emphasized, during the twentieth century has never been dealt with continuously and each of the composers faces in a completely different way how much, in turn, extemporaneous, the refinement of Stravinsky and Khachaturian is a clear counterpoint to the experimentation of Milhaud to then arrive at a clear return to Menotti’s romanticism, certainly the rarest work of the four presented here.
