Verdiana II – Roberto Aronica

Second appointment with Verdi’s arias in the triptych with the evocative title: VERDIANA. The previous title had seen the soprano Desirée Rancatore as the absolute protagonist. This is the turn of another voice that Giuseppe Verdi had very dear, that of tenor, for which he has left pages of immortal beauty and ingenious complexity. To propose them in this second volume is one of the greatest stars of Italian bel canto such as Roberto Aronica, recognized among the most important interpreters of Italian nineteenth-century opera and verse expert on the subject, able to give body and depth to each page, whether the best known ones or those less frequented by Italian bel canto. At the helm of the Orchestra dell’Opera di Parma, once again we find Sergio Pellegrini who with a steady hand leads the orchestral team through the perilous waves of Verdi’s music and who knows how to bring out together with the voice of Aronica all the greatness of each character and each character imagined by the swan of busseto.
