Vivi Felice, Suonator Cortese: 18th Century Italian Sonatas From Gaspari Music – Ensemble Gli Invaghiti

The Gli Invaghiti Ensemble, led by Fabio Furnari, for this second disc chooses a repertoire that draws heavily from the still unexplored Gaspari Collection in Bologna, bringing to light, alongside masterpieces by Corelli and Alessandro Scarlatti, world premieres by Aldrovandini , Beccatelli, Cattaneo and Capacelli, composers who remained in oblivion for a long time and who rediscover the light of sound thanks to this publication. The proposed performance is among the most vibrant that the young Baroque ensemble can offer, an example is the exceptional rendering of Aldrovandini’s Sonata I Op. V inedita which places the author among the most interesting operating in Bologna (in the company of Manfredini) or the touching and moving cantability of Boni’s Sonata I from Divertimenti per camera Op. II.
