The clarinetist Luigi Marasca and the pianist Gabriele Dal Santo propose in this disc a program under the banner of the fantastic and the dream in the nineteenth-century romantic light of authors such as Robert Schumann, certainly the leader in this area both with the Op. 73 and Op. 111 – both present, and exploring lesser known authors such as the Nordic Niels Gade and Carl Reinecke, arriving to propose the almost unknown August Winding. Four composers who, although starting from different aesthetics, offer a vision of the fantastic from many points of view united by a minimum common denominator, coming to outline in a unique way that oneiric in music that still today does not cease to fascinate and seduce us.
