A Contemporary Ukulele – Giovanni Albini

The Ukulele is an instrument that really shows little in contemporary music concert programs, first of all for its nature as an accompanying instrument and for the image with which it was often perceived. Giovanni Albini with this record demonstrates not only the technical and expressive potential of this “small” instrument, but also and above all affirms the right that it begins to be recognized, like many other instruments – often of ethnic origin – born at the end of the 18th century, and to have his place in the cultured musical field.
