Anzaghi: Piano Works (1971-2016) – Caruso Giusy

The new album by Giusy Caruso illuminates a significant step in the production of the Milanese composer Davide Anzaghi, here on his second album with Da Vinci Classics. Some of the most significant piano works of the production ranging from 1971 to 2016 were chosen for the occasion, such as Ritografia of 1971, Tinum of 1912 up to Rondò della notte of 2016 which shows the compositional process of the author who started from a assimilation and re-proposition of the avant-gardes of the 70s-80s, in recent years he has taken a different path that re-establishes, citing the notes to the program edited by Caruso herself, “the primacy of sound over the graphic sign”. Like the previous album, this one also admires the author’s inexhaustible desire to continually seek new paths and new solutions, without ever wanting to be tempted by the safer paths already traced in the past.
