Chopin: Ballades, Scherzos And Piano Sonata No. 2 – Paolo Rinaldi

The second disc by pianist Paolo Rinaldi. After a first work dedicated to counterpoint and his influence in the nineteenth-century world, Rinaldi decides to immerse himself body and soul in the composer par excellence of his own instrument, Chopin. Thus, in this project, the masterpiece constituted by the Second Sonata runs along a road between the Ballads and the Scherzi, a sort of manifesto of the author’s entire aesthetic to which the pianist seems to adhere completely, underlining the echoes that like a magnificent musical rain they fall on all the other compositions that preceded and followed it.
