After more than 170 years, a mystery is finally revealed and the legitimate author of two compositions that have always been considered dubious by F. Chopin, comes to light. Thanks to the study and research conducted by the Italian-French pianist Maria Luisa Macellaro La Franca, it is possible to shed light on one of the “little” mysteries that enveloped the still controversial although much loved titles of the Polish composer, entrusting their actual writing to the composer, patron and pupil of Chopine, Charlotte de Rotchschild. The disc is completed by some nocturnes of rare beauty by G. Fauré, also linked to the figure of the Rothschilds and who shares an often common poetic vision with Chopin.
