Donnacha Dennehy: Limina – Eliza McCarthy

Following his Grammy Award win in 2024, Irish composer Donnacha Dennehy returns with “Limina”, a vibrant exploration of his unique soundscape. This album features the world premieres of two major concertos: the Violin Concerto with Stephen Waarts and the “Limina” Piano Concerto with Eliza McCarthy, both performed by the National Symphony Orchestra Ireland under the baton of Ryan McAdams. Dennehy is acclaimed for his modern and captivating compositions and delivers here a work rich in contrast that blends the tension of the violin with a more joyful and playful universe, reaffirming his status as a key figure in contemporary music.
