France for almost the entire course of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries was the crossroads of every innovation and musical and artistic creation, it is therefore not surprising how such a rich climate in constant ferment could have allowed the production of real masterpieces by authors who were only passing through or on a short stay in the French capital. From this was born the French Connection project of the Duo Lispector made up of the violinist Evgeny Zvonnikov and the pianist Diego Caetano. Starting from the splendid Sonata for violin by Debussy, the duo explores the work of the Brazilian Villa-Lobos and the Spanish Turina who in fact lived and produced a significant part of their production in France, closing with the sonata of another Brazilian like Guilherme Bernstein who it shows how that world and that aesthetic are still very present in the world even today and are far from being extinguished or dormant.
