Lopes-Graca: Cancoes De Fernando Pessoa – Fernando Lopes-Graca

If Fernando Lopes-Graça (1906-1994) is considered one of the most important Portuguese composers of the twentieth century, the same can be said of the poet Fernando Pessoa (1888-1935) who constitutes the true soul of this recording project and together these two figures go to create a large, multifaceted and very complex universe. All their vast production, musical on the one hand and poetic on the other, is interwoven with the thread of modernity together with that of an inalienable political and ethical commitment. The mezzo-soprano Silvia Regazzo and the pianist Claudio Proietti collect here all the “songs” with lyrics by Pessoa for voice and piano, bringing to life the spirit of that world in the contemporary world.
