Maschere: New Music For Solo Saxophone And Saxophone And Electronic Music – Marina Notaro

Maschere is a project by saxophonist Marina Notaro composed of unpublished works for solo saxophone, or for saxophone and electronic music. The idea was born from the need to enrich the “made in Italy” repertoire for saxophone. The language of the nine composers, also all of Italian origin and belonging to the most important landscapes of the contemporary scene, is characterized by stylistic innovation that goes hand in hand with the evolution of instrumental technique. Each of them has their own background, enriched by continuous experimentation and musical research: for this reason the songs have different characteristics, styles and languages.
