The twentieth century guitar repertoire poses a serious problem to the public, first of all its great production, secondly the style and its geographical origin, often identified by the general public in a very narrow way, thirdly the quality of the compositions. Alfsonso Baschiera solves all three of these problems with a choice of repertoire that focuses on one of the lesser known aspects of the guitar which, thanks to this record, discovers a wide and fascinating repertoire deriving from Central Europe in the second half of the twentieth century and proposing some examples of great works and real masterpieces, most of them here in their world premiere. In addition, it gives each of them an elegant, balanced interpretation, attentive to the infinite nuances that the complexity of some scores suggest, allowing you to fully appreciate a repertoire that gradually makes its way into the heart of the guitar enthusiast as well as that of the music lover.
