Monteverdi: Madrigals Of Love And Abandonment – Consort Vocale Diapente

The Vocal Consort “Diapente”, created by Lucio Ivaldi, starts its rehearsals in February 2007. The participants, selected with an audition, were invited to a Masterclass in Florence with the Hilliard Ensemble. Some of the concerts successively given: Magnificat by Vivaldi at Parco della Musica in Rome (Sinopoli hall), with Accademia Ottoboni orchestra (performing on original instruments) and Riccardo Minasi as first violin. Sestina by Monteverdi at Teatro Valle, using the basso continuo consisting of a theorbo and a Baroque harp. A new production of Magnificat by Vivaldi in Tivoli, with “Concerto di Arianna” orchestra – Francesca Vicari as first violin (version with original instruments). World Conference ISME (International Society for Music Education) in Bologna with a program entirely based on Monteverdi’s madrigals. “Polifonie Vocali del XXI Secolo”, a project supported and sponsored by SIAE (Società Italiana degli Autori ed Editori), with various performances in Rome’s districts. The Group also takes part in the making of an Anthology of music composed in concentration camps (1933-1945) for the encyclopedia “KZ Musik” – Institute of music literature in concentration camps, with many concerts and performances in Puglia, Abruzzo and Lazio.
