Piazzolla: La Ciudad De Los Instantes, Soundtracks And Opera After Tango – Filippo Rogai

The ambitious project of the flutist Filippo Rogai and the pianist Filippo Datteri, whose title, La ciudad de los instantes, refers precisely to those moments that flow inexorably while watching a film and that as they pass leave us a sea of emotions, precisely like their musical counterpart. In the Piazzoliano year, the Duo therefore proposes a still explored vision of the music of the great Argentine, that written for cinema and opera, alongside well-known masterpieces such as Libertango (featured in the film Frantic) and Oblivion (Henry IV) , alongside as many works of great value but still not very popular in concerts such as Jorge adios (Il pleut sur Santiago), Mumuki (Tangos) or his only opera Maria de Buenos Aires. A large project, able to embrace an entire production and let us discover a side that is still little known that nevertheless is able to excite and move.
