“Quién más rendido?” reads the cartouche of a famous etching by Goya, a piece that will later be the title of one of Castelnuovo-Tedesco’s guitar masterpieces and also gives the name to this debut work by guitarist Luciano Monaco who presents a concert held in the USA in Austin which foresees the foray into two fundamental authors for the history of the instrument in Italy, one the aforementioned Castenuovo-Tedesco and the other his direct predecessor, Mauro Giuliani, of whom two absolute summits are presented such as the Sonata Op. 15 and the Grande Overture Op. 61.
