Ruehr: Winter Night – Boston Trio

‘On first hearing the Boston Trio decades ago I was deeply impressed by their musicianship and wanted to write for their ensemble. I’ve since been to many concerts of individual members and have composed a number of works for them, including concertos and chamber music. But the desire remained to write a trio specifically for the Boston Trio and to work with them on a recording.
