Solaxis – Solaxis

The debut album from French septet Solaxis – founded by saxophonist Lisa Cat-Berro – appears as a CD at Inside Air (Baco). Solaxis is a unique ensemble of five outstanding saxophonists: Lisa Cat-Berro, Géraldine Laurent, Sophie Alour, Céline Bonacina and Camille Maussion. Initiated by Lisa Cat-Berro, this musical adventure explores the sound of a saxophone quintet accompanied by a rhythm group of bass and drums. The formation combines jazz, instrumental pop, 70s electro and afrobeat and impresses with a multifaceted sound as well as refined arrangements.
