Taken from two RFH concerts, Jurowksi’s Stravinsky compilation opens with a vivid, razor-sharp account of Petrushka (1911), hugely detailed and full of solo contributions of the very highest calibre. The remaining pieces, taped a year earlier, are cooler: this may of course be the point, but there are more persuasive, more transcendental performances of Orpheus around. Sound is good; it seems odd for an own-label production not to list players in the booklet. …
