Verdiana Iii – Roberto Scandiuzzi

Roberto Scandiuzzi is today a name for which the public does not need any introduction, be they fans, historians or music lovers. The great Italian bass has indelibly imprinted his personality in the world of opera and is probably among the most recognizable and respected figures in the sector. In this latest disc that closes the VERDIANA cycle, inaugurated with Desirée Rancatore and continued with Roberto Aronica, some of the most important arias of the Verdi repertoire dedicated to this tone of voice are presented: Luisa Miller, Macbeth, Simon Boccanegra, Don Carlos and many others titles that have literally made the history of bel canto. Also in this third volume, with an organic with real parts, the Orchestra dell’Opera di Parma conducted by Sergio Pellegrini is careful to emphasize the more intimate nature of the chosen repertoire. An ending that crowns one of the most important projects of the Da Vinci Classics label and which thanks to this last important volume can finally be defined complete.
