John Cage, a pivotal figure in understanding the second half of the twentieth century, as well as an author with whom sooner or later any lover of contemporary music must confront, once again demonstrates in this record the visionary genius in three compositions dedicated to the trombone and the tuba. In this fourth appointment dedicated to the aboutCAGE project, curated by Sergio Armaroli, we find, in addition to the pianist Francesca Gemmo here on her second disc of the project, one of the most important artists for wind instruments such as Giancarlo Schiaffini who gives his own interpretation of works such as Two5, Solo for tuba and above all the Solo for Sliding Trombone with Fontana Mix.
