Chopin: 12 Études, Op. 10 / Liszt: Après une lecture du Dante / Sollini: 5 Piano Works – Monica Zhang

Monica Zhang was only fifteen years old when she performed the recital recorded in this Da Vinci Classics album. This recording preserves the impressive achievement of this teenager, who boldly tackles some of the most frightening scores of piano literature: from the twelve Etudes op. 10 by Chopin to the Fantasia quasi una Sonata “Dante” by Franz Liszt, and without forgetting some interesting pieces composed by living pianist Marco Sollini. The young pianist abundantly demonstrates her musical maturity and technical skills, and the breathtaking result of her performance makes this recording a collector’s must-have.
