Voici une récente parution qui a quelque chose de mystérieux: enregistré (très bien) en 2010 déjà, le disque nous offre ce qui doit être le dernier témoignage sonore publié de l’illustre Hilliard Ensemble dissous en 2014 après 40 ans d’existence, et l’on se demande ce qui a pu motiver un tel décalage dans la mise sur le marché du présent enregistrement. Connaissant l’audace d’ECM, ce ne seront certainement pas des considérations quant au possible succès commercial du disque qui auront été déterminantes. Ce qui est fascinant dans ce projet dont la composition s’est étendue……
