Jack Brymer and David Lloyd made two visits to the Nimbus studios. The first in 1973 to record Weber’s Grand Duo & Brahms’s Sonata in F minor, released on LP in 1977. The second session, in 1992, produced all the additional repertoire, released here for the first time. Jack Brymer was a UK household name, admired for his personal charm as much as the grace and fluency of his playing. His performances as an orchestral player and concerto soloist are well represented on record but his recital repertoire was overlooked. Hopefully these examples will partly redress that loss.
