France and Naples, two very distant realities but which have never ceased, throughout the course of their history, to fascinate each other. This time, however, it is France that “plays” Naples in an incredible homage to the Neapolitan city by French composers between the 19th and 20th centuries. His charm is captured by the eyes of the stranger who, when he arrives in the city, sees himself enraptured by the flow of sounds, colors, people, scents and life. A constant and interminable flow that from the Middle Ages to today many travelers have kept in their hearts well beyond their visit and that has led them several times over time to return to those rhythms. Several times while listening, one is enraptured by nostalgia, by the desire to dance and be moved, laugh and get lost in the often reinterpretation of well-known melodies and rhythms, but a single image dominates over everything: Naples. The disc is an original project by Daniele Adornetto, a pianist who personally chose the music for this work, many of which are world premieres, to be included and who led to the end an unusual and fascinating project of double vision on the city.
