Mozart: Violin Sonatas & Rondos – Ruben Kosemyan

Violinist and virtuoso of rare refinement, Ruben Kosemyan chooses two sonatas and two Mozartian rondo as a program for his album, which are now part of the stable baggage of every musician. The approach of the Armenian violinist does not want to be philological but rather in the pursuit of sound and the virtuosity of the instrument, a virtuosity that is put at all times at the total service of the music interpreted and is continually balanced between the needs to “tell “Music and to” show “its limpid beauty. A record that partly looks at the violin interpretations of the greats of the past from Stern to Menuhin, from Oistrakh to Szeryng and partly manages to find its own way within the vast world of today with disruptive strength and refined elegance.
