Domenico Calia was born in 1985 and began studying the clarinet very young. He graduated in 2003 from the V. Bellini conservatory in Caltanissetta and perfected himself under the guidance of the masters: Giuseppe Garbarino, Vincenzo Paci, Angel Jean Cino, Massimo Scorretti, Italo Capicchioni, Cristian Chiodi Latini, Antonino Lampasona and Crescenzo Langella. He is a multifaceted concert performer with a wide repertoire ranging from classical to modern and contemporary music of which he is a specialist. performer of the most innovative techniques such as: shadow sound, broken sound, sequence of sounds on a held sound, multiple sounds. Inspiring songs and deeply esteemed by several contemporary authors, in the last year alone, authors on the international scene have dedicated more than 40 pieces to him.
