Music Of The Commonwealth, New Music For Saxophone And Piano – Michael Duke

Founded in 1931, the Commonwealth is an intra-governmental structure that developed as a natural evolution of the British Empire. The HD Duo has decided to pay homage on the one hand and highlight on the other the music produced in these states, often left on the sidelines of the wider Western and European musical discourse and which deserves particular attention for the numerous suggestions that these jobs can lead. So here we can rediscover authors from Sri Lanka, Australia, Canada, Cyprus, Malta and of course the United Kingdom, each of a different type and voice but united by that intra-community belonging that the duo composed of Michael Duke, saxophone and David Howie, piano, takes care to emphasize in each composition.
