Polarity 4 – Ivo Perelman & Nate Wooley

In the latest volume of their years-long duo project, tenor sax-ophonist Ivo Perelman and trumpeter Nate Wooley continue to find ways to extend their individual and collective creative languages. This time out, Perelman embraces overdubbing for the first time in his vast catalog (more than 125 releases since the late ’80s), allowing himself and Wooley to duet with them-selves on the opening track. Even when engaging in “pure” improvisation, though, their music continues to deepen and become ever more expressive and communicative.
