The clarinet concerto D’Om Le Vrai Sens attempts to depict the medieval tapestries in the Cluny museum, Paris, which in turn depict the senses. It is not an easy listen as Saariaho and Kriiku take the clarinet into extreme sound areas but is full of startling insights. …
