First volume of a cycle starring a Johann Sebastian Bach closely linked to Italy. To bring it is the pianist Chiara Bertoglio who for years has been carrying out her own research project on the original works inspired by Kantor’s Italy and conversely the authors who were most inspired by him. In this disc the very rare Goldberg Variations are presented in the concert transcription by Ferruccio Busoni, almost never heard and even less performed in concert, together with the Italian Concerto, the original transcription of the concert by Marcello and the Chaconne in the very rare transcription by J. Brahms. A record, and even more a wonderful project, the point of arrival and beginning for an interpreter of rare refinement and technical quality.
