This Time (Den Har Tiden) – Bohuslän Big Band

With “Den här tiden,” poet and performer Daniel Boyacioglu, jazz pianist Mathias Landæus, and the Bohuslän Big Band combine spoken word, poetry, and jazz into a cross-genre project. The music is based on the trio albums “Bön för världen” and “Älska oss nu” by Daniel Boyacioglu and Mathias Landæus and has been rearranged for big band. The lyrics explore themes such as identity, belonging, love, and power, weaving personal experiences with social issues. Together with Mathias Landæus’s improvisations and the orchestral sound of the Bohuslän Big Band, new perspectives on the existing material emerge. Daniel Boyacioglu and Mathias Landæus have been working together since the early 2000s and have continuously developed their artistic collaboration. With “Den här tiden,” they are now continuing this collaboration together with the Bohuslän Big Band.
